QUICK ANSWER
There are 30 Charms. They grant permanent passive buffs, are tracked below Sophia's skills, and can all be recovered through Chapter Select.
Charm rules and tracking
Charms are found in small chests and provide permanent combat buffs. The Sophia menu shows them beneath the skills, while Chapter Select provides per-chapter counters.
Five Pierced Coins come from Theseus' Echo interactions and count inside the 30-Charm total. Complete the Echo route as part of Superstitious rather than treating it as a separate thirty-five-item list.
Early examples
Chapter 1 has no Charms. Chapter 2 has two early examples: Beads in a small box after the fence gap near the pigs, and Bracelet after the grapnel tutorial route.
Every Charm can be recovered after the story through Chapter Select, so a missed side chest does not force a new campaign.
